Technology E&O is a professional liability insurance that protects against the failure of products or services intended to perform for a particular purpose. It's normally associated with errors and omissions in the creation, design, distribution, manufacturing and implementation of technology solutions (hardware or software).

It may also be applicable to technology service providers for cloud computing, telecommunications, including data processing, data and application hosting, networking design, software as a service, among others.

Some insurance policies for Tech E&O also include IP infringement and injuries arising out of defamation, and it's normally bundled with Cyber insurance policies.
